SHARE YOUR FAITH

God tells us in His word that we are each uniquely made and gifted according to His purpose. (Psalm 139:14) (Romans 12:6)

That it is not an accident where we live and that we are to use our gifts in the place He has put us. (Acts 17:26) (Eph 2:10)

That our faith is a gift from God himself. (Eph. 2:8-9)

And He asks us to share our faith and be a witness of Him
in the part of the world where He has placed us. (Eph 2:10) ( Acts 1:8) (Matt 28:19-20)

So what will you do with your gift of faith? Will you hide it and keep it to yourself?
Or will you let your light shine among men and share the gift of faith God
gave you according to His purpose? (Luke 11:33)

I want you to take a moment and think about someone
you know…it may be your un-churched neighbor, coworker, relative or friend that
doesn’t believe in God or understand the source of where hope, faith and love can be found.
And I want you to think about them as you read this Word from God who says,
___________

Romans 10:13-14
(NLT)
13 For “Everyone who calls on the name of
the Lord will be saved.”
14 But how can they call on him to save them
unless they believe in him? And how can they
believe in him if they have never heard about
him? And how can they hear about him unless
someone tells them?

Think of those you know who are without faith as you watch this video below and consider their unspoken plea.

AN UNSPOKEN PLEA

SHARING OUR FAITH IS MORE THAN TELLING OTHERS ABOUT JESUS BUT SHOWING THEM WHO HE IS BY SHOWING EACH OTHER AND THE WORLD HIS LOVE.
( John 13:34-35 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”)

Often times before we get the chance to share the Gospel message with our words that salvation is found only through faith in Jesus, it is our lives and actions that witness to others leading them to ask why and where our hope, faith and love is found. This is what gives us the opportunity to tell them about the way, the truth and the life.

WAYS TO CASUALLY SHARE YOUR FAITH IN DAILY LIFE
While we want to share the gospel of Jesus with the people we love and those with whom we come into contact every day, we can’t expect to turn every conversation to theology. But, if our daily words and actions constantly give clues or reminders that we are Christians, more opportunities to talk about Christ will arise.

Here are just a few examples of how we can casually share our faith in our daily lives.

• Thank God for the weather instead of only commenting on a beautiful day.

• Say “I forgive you” instead of “It’s okay” or “No problem” when someone apologizes for wronging you.

• Include your trip to Sunday’s worship service when you talk about your weekend plans.

• Fast forward the promiscuous scenes while watching a movie with your friends.

• Bow your head to pray before eating your lunch in the cafeteria.

• When venting frustrations, remember to point out
how God helped you deal with them.

• Say “God bless your efforts” instead of “Good luck.”

• Instead of saying “I know how you feel,” say “It’s comforting to know that Jesus knows how you feel.”

• Love. The only way to truly love is to fill yourself so much with Jesus’ love that it overflows to those with whom you come into contact. They’ll notice.

• Listen. Listen closely so that you can understand people’s needs and share how Jesus meets them.

Consider the possibility that God gifted and placed you for the purpose where there are people only you can reach,
whole lives only you can effect.

Remember that every good thing, every blessing you have in your life, is from
your Father above. That we are gifted according to His purpose and we are called to share our gift of faith
with those around us, letting our light and lives shine among men. (Jam1:17) (Rom 12:6) ( Acts 1:8)(Luke 11:33)

To do that means more than telling others about God with our lips, but showing them the love of
Christ with our lives. (Rom 12:9-10)

Like the girl in the video said, stop telling me about this God of yours and show me who He
really is; I need you to show me love.

So what will you do with the gifts and faith God gave you according to His purpose?
Will you get out there and shine,...... and be a Witness ?
